Brief Introduction to Aluminum Profile Extrusion Process
Aluminum profile extrusion is the core production process for furniture aluminum profiles, consisting of three key stages: pre-processing, core extrusion, and post-processing:
1.Pre-extrusion Preparation: Select 6063/6061 aluminum alloy ingots, which undergo sawing and homogenization annealing. Customize H13 steel dies according to the cross-sectional design of furniture profiles, followed by preheating. Meanwhile, commission the extrusion press and preheat the cylinder, dies, and other components to an appropriate temperature (420-500℃).
2.Core Extrusion: Place the preheated aluminum billet into the extrusion press cylinder. Under high temperature and pressure (100-360MPa), the billet is forced through the die orifice for shaping. After extrusion, the profile is rapidly cooled online to fix its form, resulting in long-length aluminum profiles.
3.Post-extrusion Processing: The extruded profiles undergo traction, fixed-length sawing, solution heat treatment + artificial aging (to enhance strength and hardness), straightening, and surface cleaning. Finally, strict inspections for dimensions, mechanical properties, and appearance are conducted to produce high-precision, durable aluminum profiles that meet furniture application requirements.
The core of the process lies in the precise control of temperature, pressure, and speed. Special optimizations for furniture profiles focus on dimensional accuracy, irregular cross-section adaptability, surface treatment compatibility, and environmental compliance. The products are certified with ISO9001 Quality Management System Certification and RoHS Environmental Certification, ensuring they meet assembly needs, durability standards, and international export requirements.
